ECONOMY
America is more than a country; it was a place of unlimited opportunity birthed by the promise of individual liberty. Here, anyone could come from nothing and achieve everything. But those opportunities have been threatened by politicians who threaten our prosperity with burdensome regulations that cripple small businesses.
▪Energy:
·We must be energy independent and not rely on oil from the Middle East or Venezuela.
·On Joe Biden’s first day as President, he shut down the Keystone Pipeline. That pipeline must flow again so that we can return to less than $2.00 per gallon.
·We must invest in producing American-made energy. This is more than just oil. It means natural gas, nuclear power and renewables like wind and solar.
·As the primary energy exporter of the world, America will have the leverage to reassert itself in the world. If Mexico was dependent on the United States for oil, we could end the invasion at our border in an afternoon.
▪Manufacturing:
·China is an existential threat to our country. There is no excuse for American exports to be taxed at a higher rate than Chinese imports.
·I will protect American jobs and products against unfair trade practices by other countries, especially China, even if those other countries threaten to retaliate.
·Patriotism demands we oppose the outsourcing and offshoring of American jobs to other countries. We can rebuild American manufacturing. All it requires is leadership.
A country is more than just the sum of our GDP. We must be proactive, not reactive. Bold American energy and manufacturing policies will create good-paying jobs for Americans and ensure our country remains the standard-bearer for the free world.
